Prudential PRUShield May Be Suitable If You Are Looking For

Prudential PRUShield may potentially be a good fit if the following matters to you:

  • Hospitalisation and medical insurance coverage
  • Access to private hospitals and a wider choice of ward classes and doctors
  • An Integrated Shield Plan that complements your existing MediShield Life coverage
  • Paying premiums using MediSave funds
  • Lifetime guaranteed renewability with no medical underwriting for significant life events
  • Additional CI coverage benefit through the new PRUExtra Care Series rider

Prudential PRUShield May Not Be Suitable If You Are Looking For

Prudential PRUShield may potentially be a bad fit if the following matters to you:

  • Cash value or surrender value — Integrated Shield Plans have no cash value
  • Near-zero out-of-pocket hospitalisation costs — the new PRUExtra Care riders require you to pay the deductible ($1,500–$3,500) out of pocket
  • Those who primarily use restructured hospitals (Class B2/C wards) — MediShield Life alone may be sufficient
