Bangkok Night Market: A foodie, shopper and bargain hunter paradise.

Ratchada Train Market (Talad Rot Fai)

Ratchada Train Market (Talad Rot Fai)

If you have never been to Talad Rot Fai, you have not been to Bangkok before. Conveniently located in the city centre, Talad Rot Fai has got everything you need in this one of the biggest night markets in Bangkok. Colourful tents set up neatly, you can find everything from food to clothes to shoes to toys and even a barber there! It is just behind Esplanade Shopping Mall. You can have your shopping in the mall first before heading to the night market.

After finishing your shopping, do head to the alfresco bars made up of containers to have an ice cold beer with a live band.

Location: Ratcadaphisek Road (behind Esplanade Shopping Mall)

Nearest MRT station: Thailand Cultural Center (Exit 4)

Opening hours: Thursday to Sunday, 5 pm to Midnight. You can also go from Monday to Wednesday, but not all stalls will be open.

Chatuchak Friday Night Market

Chatuchak Night Market

Who says Chatuchak only open on Saturday and Sunday? Skip the hot and humid weather, head to Chatuchak on a Friday night! Stalls are open on the main street in Chatuchak, selling cheaper things. There are also many food options available! I personally think that it is better to shop on a breezy Friday night than a hot weekend day! Do note that the stalls in the alleys are 99% close, but it still takes you more than an hour to shop just on the main street.

Nearest MRT: BTS – Mo Chit or MRT Kamphaeng Phet / Chatuchak Park

Opening hours: 5 pm till Midnight

Hua Mum Night Market

Hua Mum Night Market

This night market is less touristy. It is selling items cheaper than any other night markets. You will get to see a lot of locals here and do note they speak minimal English. This night market is less congested, which makes shopping easier.

Location: 11 Kaset-Nawamin Rd, Lat Phrao, Bangkok 10230

How to get there: The only way to get here is by Taxi

JJ Green Market

JJ Green Night Market

This is located behind Jatuchak Park. This market is smaller in size and they sell mostly vintage items. According to my experience, the best time to visit JJ Green Market is Thursday to Sunday, from 6 pm till 1 am. JJ Green has also got an interesting pub and food court. It will be a good experience to dine here.

Location: 1 Kamphaeng Phet 3, Chatuchak

Nearest MRT: BTS – Mo Chit or MRT Kamphaeng Phet / Chatuchak Park

Opening hours: Thursdays to Sundays: 6 pm – 1 am

Talad Neon

Talad Neon (Neon Night Market)

This is the newest night market in Bangkok. It is located within walking distance from the Platinum mall, right beside the Berkeley Hotel. This night market is generally smaller in size, and the price of the items selling here is slightly on the high side. However, they have got a section of night market games available at a very cheap price. You can easily win huge plushies with less than 200 baht! Do head there at least once if you have never been here before. Do note that you probably only need about an hour here, you can plan for something before or after visiting this night market.

Nearest MRT: BTS – Chitlom Station
